Enchanted Gardens
A Celebration of Young Hearts and Creativity
Since 2022, Lyn Sutherland has been nurturing creativity and confidence in young people across the community, delivering art lessons from her home, local venues, and within classrooms made possible through the support of Kiran’s Trust.
Before the pandemic, Lyn welcomed up to 40 children each week into her classes—a space filled with colour, imagination, and joy. When Covid brought everything to a halt, it was a deeply difficult time. But thanks to the kindness and generosity of Kiran’s Trust, those creative opportunities have been brought back to life.
With all materials thoughtfully provided by the charity, children have once again been able to express themselves freely through art—something Lyn feels deeply grateful for:
“I would like to say a massive thank you to Kiran’s Trust for making this possible. Johnny, the charity’s founder, and his partner have supported me not only in delivering these classes but personally too, through a very difficult time with my health. Their kindness and belief in me have meant everything.”
What began as small group sessions and one-to-one lessons in Lyn’s home in Kincardine has now grown into something truly special. Today, she is working closely with pupils from Tulliallan Primary School, sharing the same passion, techniques, and materials she has carried with her since her own days at art college—generously donated by Kiran’s Trust.
From the youngest Nursery pupils to Primary 7, each child has brought their own imagination to life. Together, they have created something extraordinary—a vibrant collection of artwork full of personality, colour, and pride.
This exhibition, Enchanted Gardens, is more than just a showcase. It is a celebration of resilience, creativity, and the power of community. It reflects what can happen when young people are given encouragement, opportunity, and the freedom to express who they are.
We are incredibly proud to share their work with you.
