Let us introduce you to Rachel! We supported this severely disabled young lady this year to create a series of Llamas under the guidance of an artist Sarah Galliers, along with the materials. Cost to us a few hundred pounds!!!
During the SMHAFF exhibition in Edinburgh in October she posted images of her Llama sculptures to a person she’d met on a previous trip to South America. He replied immediately and offered her an exhibition of the Llamas in Peru, a 2 month residency in his purpose built facility set up for disabled people and she is to teach disabled children art there too. Travel arrangements are now being made. Isn’t that a fantastic story….truly making the difference to one young persons life!!! If we did nothing else this story would make it all for us!!
