This year saw over 500 young carers welcomed to the 2023 Summer Festival from across 35 local carers services. This is tremendous as these young people never get respite from their duties and some often feel that shouldn’t be away from their duties as a carer!

With your support, we were able to deliver cake decorating workshops – which young carers asked for specifically.  We were also able to support the purchase of worry monsters as part of our Young Carer Consultation Zone this year!!!  We just cannot do any of this without your financial support!!

Nicola Bell (Youth Engagement) will be pulling together a Festival report in the next few weeks, which will share with you — this will include evaluations from young carers.
